How would you fit in?
As the Senior Controller, you play a key role in Safeguarding the financial health and performance of the company by effectively managing and reporting financial data. This involves focusing on financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control. The role ensures that all financial activities are accurately documented and compliant with relevant regulations, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making and maintaining the overall financial integrity of the organization.
Additionally, you would act as deputy of the Finance Director when necessary.
What will you bring
- A master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field;
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in finance or accounting roles;
- Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant;;
- Experience in managing accounting operations, accounting close processes, financial reporting, and internal controls;
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and modeling;
- Strong Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP);
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey financial information to senior management and external stakeholders;
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team;
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to support high-level financial planning and decision-making;
- Ability to perform complex financial analyses and provide actionable insights.
- Experience with international financial operations and knowledge of international accounting standards;
- Thorough understanding of Dutch tax laws and compliance requirements. Understanding of international tax laws is a plus;
- Experience in preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections;
- Ability to analyze financial data and trends to support strategic planning;
- Experience in developing and managing internal controls and compliance programs;
- Ability to ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting;
- Proficient in researching and resolving technical accounting topics for compliance;
- Experience in improving the efficiency of financial processes;
- Experience with or willingness to become experienced with sustainability reporting requirements;
- Proactive, self-starting, problem solving;
- Willing to work a minimum of 60% from office.

Main responsibilities:
- Important role in monthly and annual reporting cycle including analyses
- Coordinating role in supervising the accounting team to ensure adequate allocation of work and quality of accounting process
- Ensuring compliance with legal and other financial reporting requirements
- Maintenance and improvements regarding internal control framework
- Contribute to continuous improvement cycle (i.e. improvements in ERP functionalities and reporting dashboards)
