Plant Cost Controller in Tilburg

For one of our clients in Tilburg we are currently looking for a Plant Cost Controller. The position is vacant with full responsibility for plant and cost accounting to support managerial decision making in operations, internal and group reporting, cost control, savings and inventory control. The Controller reports to the Manager Industrial Controlling (located abroad). You work closely with the Operational Director of Tilburg. In this position you manage the accounting team (2 administrative employees and the Financial controller). In this role you have a link with the Accounting Manager for the Benelux who is ultimately responsible for the accounting team.

Tasks and responsibilities: 

• Operations performance dashboard;
• Calculate and maintain standard cost prices including P&L for sales department;
• Measure, review, analyze and challenge the productivity and yield in production;
• Period end closing activities (produce and analysis of P&L);
• Managing and support the accounting team;
• Group reporting on variances and margins;
• Forecast and Budgeting;
• Continuous improvement and cost savings; LEAN;
• Audit support (Administrative) control of the flow of goods, inventory raw materials and packaging);
• AO / IC;
• Various ad-hoc activities.

Profile:

• Languages Dutch and English minimum; French is a plus;
• Bachelor + educational level;
• Relevant experience, preferably in food production / manufacturing;
• Relatively close proximity to Tilburg;
• Willingness to do some limited travel to meet with colleagues in other countries.
