Commercial Controller Benelux - France

The Role of the Commercial Controller is:

As a Commercial Controller you will be working in a highly interesting FMCG industry as a true business partner for two commercial clusters Benelux and France. Your personal contribution as a controller to the business will have to do with changing market conditions within the bakery market and commercial effectiveness. As Commercial Controller you will act as a business partner with the aim of providing better insights through analysis, reporting and active communication. You will work with financial steering, performance and client profitability but also establish and maintain other recurring business control related processes.

Main duties of the role are:

• Responsible for all financial matters supporting the Commercial Leaders for Benelux and France to make optimal business decisions to drive growth and continuous improvement

• Act as a single point of contact for business partners

• Support company’s financial accounting, reporting and control activities Maintaining a robust OPEX control structure

• Commercial cluster Profit and Loss ownership

• Analyze financial data, market trends and the performance of sales and marketing campaigns

• Development of budget, forecasting and review processes in order to manage the business unit locally and to meet the regional and Group requirements

• Ensure that regular management reporting as well as requested reports are of high quality and adding value to the reader

• To ensure month end close and reporting disciplines are correctly and timely performed

• Analyze financial data, market trends and the performance of sales and marketing campaigns

• Support year end accounting, auditing statutory accounts processes ensuring accurate controls to meet the requirements.

Stakeholders:

You will report directly to the Regional Finance Director. Your main work relations internally are the commercial leadership and finance teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or economics required, MBA        preferred
• 5 years of progressive experience in Finance
• All round professional profile in Finance
• Experience in the international FMCG industry
• Strong background with financial ERP (especially SAP) would be considered a plus
• Fluent in Dutch and English French is an asset
• Certification such as CPA, CMA, CIMA, preferred
• Flexible to travel 30-40% between Benelux and French offices
• Salary 70k - 75k gross per year including holiday pay
