Assistent Controller in Breda

For our client AOG Invest we are looking for a parttime Assistent Controller. Founded in 2010, AOG Real Estate (part of AOG Group) is focused investing directly and indirectly in commercial properties in prime locations, in Europe and the United States. The role:

To assist the Real Estate Financial Controller on all matters relating to accounting and reporting, budget management, treasury management, debt funding, policies & procedures and corporate & transaction structuring.

Principal Accountabilities:

Assist the Real Estate Financial Controller with:

• Day-to-day accounting of various real estate entities
• Ensuring overall tax compliance (VAT and CTX) of various real estate entities
• Divisional consolidation 
• Continuously monitoring the overall divisional financial performance
• Continuously monitoring the overall divisional KPI’s
• Preparation of reporting to group audit committee and group board
• Monitoring financial performance of assets against budget/ business plan/ market and explain variances
• Preparing all “in-house” financial statements
• Reviewing all financial statements prepared by external service providers prior to signature
• Preparing individual asset management plans and capital expenditure budgets
• Preparing business plans, budgets and cash flows of each asset and at a divisional level
• Monitoring property managers performance by reviewing monthly reports(focus on rent collection and service charge budgets against market standard)
• Assisting on ad-hoc projects and queries as required.
• Defining division specific accounting policies / confirm those proposed by F&A 
• Continuously monitoring the company’s compliance with accounting standards

Job requirements:

• Experience as an Accountant/Controller minimum of 1 year
• International Accounting Standards are considered an asset
• Experience in the Real Estate sector is considered an asset
• Professional command of the Dutch and English language. Basic knowledge of French is considered an asset 
• Knowledge of Power BI is considered an asset
